Nepal Oil Corporation official held on charge of irregularities, black marketing of fuel

KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested the Nepal Oil Corporation’s Thankot depot chief, Rabin Kumar Sharma, in suspicion of his involvement in irregularities and black marketing of fuel.

A team deployed from Metropolitan Police Crime Division took Sharma in custody after people detained on charge of fuel black marketing and tampering of dispensers at different fuel stations took his name while recording their statements, said Senior Superintendent of Police Sarbendra Khanal.

Nepal is currently reeling under fuel crisis due to blockade at Nepal-India border for over three months.
