Reconstruction Authority CEO to be appointed soon: Minister Pandey

Kathmandu, Dec 17: Minister for Industries Som Prasad Pandey has said that the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Reconstruction Authority would be appointed within a week after its authority.

In a face to face programme organized by the Reporters’ Club in the capital today, Minister Pandey declared that the authority would be formulated soon as the bill for that was passed recently.

He informed that the government was taking diplomatic initiations to open the blockaded border as it has badly affected the industries.

Similarly, Nepali Congress chief whip Chinkaji Shrestha said that the reconstruction works would be intensified soon. He added that though it took a long process to pass the bill due to vested interest of some people, it got passed at last.

Similarly, Unified CPN (Maoist) leader Dinanath Sharma pointed out the need of selecting capable CEO to run the reconstruction project as it delayed due to different interests of political parties in the past.

He added that the Tarai issues could have resolved earlier if big parties had utilized their conscience in the appropriate time. RSS
