Some forces disseminating wrong information about statute, DPM KC says

Phalebas (Parbat), Dec. 28: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Cooperative Chitra Bahadur KC has said that some political parties were disseminating wrong information to the people about the new constitution by misinterpreting it and asked the commoners not to rely on such false messages.

Addressing a programme organised by Balewa Ekata Saving and Credit Cooperative Limited here on Sunday evening, Deputy Prime Minister KC said that promulgating the constitution was the compulsion of the political parties but the people were ‘gifted’ with the blockade due to the same compulsion of the political parties.

He also argued that the agitation carried out by the Madhesi parties was irrelevant.

KC stated that all should accept the new statute as republicanism and rights to the marginalised community were the major achievements of Nepal’s Constitution, 2072 BS.

On a separate context, KC urged the shareholders of the cooperative to remain safe from being cheated adding that some cooperatives have swindled the people.

Saying that he has received a number of complaints on cooperative, the Deputy Prime Minister asserted that cooperatives lack transparency and answerability, and hinted at amendment to the Cooperative Act,
