Four persons die of suffocation in Pokhara
Pokhara, Dec 30: Four persons died of suffocation in Pokhara Municipality in Kaski district today.
The deceased have been identified as Sita Rana, 26, her 12-year-son Simanta Rana, mother Ganga Kumari Thal and relative sister Basanti Rana and of Pragati tole in Pokhara Municipality-14.
Deputy Superintendent of Police in Kaski, Gajusiddhi Bajracharya said that they died of suffocation due to the smoke from the fire they burnt to keep the room warm.
Locals informed the police after they saw smoke coming out from the window and door of the room. All the four persons were found dead when police reached the incident site at 7:00 am, said Bajracharya.
