Five honoured in Lekhnath Birth Anniversary
Itahari, Dec 31: Some five personalities were felicitated at a programme organized on the occasion of 132nd birth anniversary of legendary poet Lekhnath Poudel on Wednesday.
The honoured are literary figure and academic Dirgha Raj Subedi, Blast Times Daily Chief Editor Raj Kumar Karki, poet Bam Dewan, university teacher and literary figure Narayan Prasad Sharma Kattel and media person Shashi Bajgain.
Chief Guest Bibash Pokharel honoured them with shawl and letter of appreciation.
On the occasion, Tika Prasad Wasti Memorial Award was given away to Hemanta Raj Adhikari of Dharan sub-metropolis-16. The award bags a cash of Rs 5,001.
Likewise, Baraha Jwellery Literary Figure Award has been given away to Padam Sundas. Administrative Officer at Baraha Ganga Kalikote handed over the award carrying a purse of Rs 5,001 to Kalikote. Similarly, Siddikarna Bhairatha award was given away to Bina Ghale. Chairperson of Kabi Shiromani Lekhnath Poudel Sahitya Samaaj Siddikarna Sharma gave away the award.
On the same occasion, the winners of eastern regional level poetry recitation were awarded. RSS
