House approves two bills



Kathmandu, Jan 5: Today’s meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has approved two bills.

The Bill designed to amend some Nepal Acts relating to the remuneration of the Chairperson and members of National Human Rights Commission, 2071 BS as well as the Bill related to ‘Reconciliation (first amendment)-2071’ were approved on the occasion.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Agni Prasad Kharel had presented the first bill in the House. No clause-wise discussion was held in the House after none of the parliamentarian registered amendment proposal in this regard.

The next meeting of the House has been scheduled on January 6 at 10:00 am.

Similarly, three different bills have also been tabled at the House. The three bills tabled in the Parliament are— Bill related to Employees Provident Fund (ninth amendment)-2071, the Bill related to Auditing (first amendment) – 2071 and Bill related to Open University-2072.
