Food security response plan in offing
Pyuthan, Jan 6: A food security response plan has been formulated to get relieved of possible food scarcity in the district.
The Agriculture Ministry, World Food Programme and Pyuthan District Agriculture Development Office jointly floated the response plan to avert the famine possibly stemming from the food crisis.
The food security response plan was framed to make food-starved Pyuthan as a food secure district and expand every individual’s access to food, said the District Agriculture Development Office. “The response plan is to develop independence in food and avert famine in the district”, he added.
