Over 1,900 children are out of school in Rolpa
Tulasipur (Dang), Jan 6: Although the government has been spending tens of thousands of rupees every year to bring all the children to access of education, over 1,900 children in Rolpa district are still out of school.
As per the statistics provided by the District Education Office, Rolpa, 1926 children of school going age are out of school.
District Education Officer Chiranjivi Poudel said this fact came to light from the data collected from all schools and resource centres of the district to declare Rolpa a ‘Fully Literate District’.
The school-going age children have been deprived of education due to various reasons including poverty, child marriage and lack of awareness, it is learnt.
DEO Poudel said the District Education Office would bring the children, who are out of school, to the access of education within a year.
