Snowfall at high lands in Rasuwa affects life
Kathmandu, Jan 9:Snowfall occurred at high-altitude areas of Rasuwa, a mountainous district, has hit the daily life hard.
The snowfall that started hitting the high- altitude areas of the district with a sudden change in weather pattern since last night has mainly affected the life of Lamtang which suffered a massive loss during the last year’s earthquake. The Lamtang folks who left homeless by the disaster have no good shelter yet.
Likewise Chandanbari, Thulo Syafru, Thuman, Thakthali, Tatopani, Simbu and Gatlang areas have witnessed the snowfall. Settlements above the 2,300 meters of the sea level have received the snowfall, Civil Society Rasuwa Chair Babulal Tamang said.
