Supplies to become normal in few days, claims Home Minister Basnet

Pokhara, Jan 14: Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet has said that supplies of essential commodities would become normal in a few days.

Inaugurating the 6th Pokhara festival at Amarsingh Chaur on Thursday, Minister Basnet said the government was also working seriously to stop black marketeering and smuggling of goods in the wake of the blockade.

Local Member of Parliament Sharada Poudel gave assurance to support the United Club, the organizer of the festival in its endeavours of developing the education, health, sports and tourism sectors.

The festival organised under the main theme of ‘youth enthusiasm : foundation of nation building’ will run until January 24.
