Motorcyclist dies in accident



Nuwakot, Jan 16: A person has died after a freight container and motorbike collided at Gerkhutar VDC of Nuwakot on Saturday.

Motorcyclist Raj Kumar Tamang died after his motorbike (Ba 64 Pa 9280) and a container (Na 3 Kha 4741) heading from Kathmandu to Rasuwagadhi collided with each other, District Administration Office, Nuwakot said.

Tamang, a permanent resident of Manakamana VDC of Nuwakot, was currently living in Battar. The police have impounded the container and taken its driver under control for further investigation.

Five persons injured in bus-car collision

At least five persons were injured when a bus and a car collided at Sukute area of Sangachowk VDC in the stretch of the Araniko highway of the Sindhupalchowk district on Saturday.

The injured were rushed to the Dhulikhel hospital for treatment. Among the injured conditions of three is reported to be critical, Area Police Office, Bharabise said.
A passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 5861) heading towards Kathmandu from Dolakha collided with a private car (Ba 4 Cha 3335) en route to Khandichaur from Kathmandu.

Among those on board the car, Suresh Kusule, Deepak Kusule and Shyam Khadka of Tauthali VDC-3 of Sindhupalchowk are in serious condition while two others sustained minor injuries.

The car has been completely damaged in the accident. The police have taken the driver of the passenger bus under control and further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
