Landslide victims get cash assistance
Babiyachaur (Myagdi), Jan 17: The Myagdi Jaljala Paribar, a network of Myagdi folks currently living and working in Australia, provided Rs 400,000 plus amount to the relatives of those killed in landslides that occurred at Mudi and Muna in the district during this year’s rainy season.
The amount was given to the families of those killed in the landslide and the quake-hit school at an event on Saturday.Headmaster of Dhan Janata Secondary School Pushkar Bhandari said that seven families of Mudi and Muna were provided Rs 25,000 each for their support.
Likewise, Suryajyoti Primary School based in Dar of Muna was given Rs 250,000.
Daldevi Pun, Tirhaman Gharti, Jiprasad Gharti, Bhim Bahadur Gharti, Kislal Pun and Hasta Pun of Mudi-5 and seven-year-old Melina Pun of Muna-5 were killed in the landslide on July 29.
The landslide-hit families were provided support aiming to bring back them to their previous life and support their living, it is said.
