Aid to earthquake survivors
Kathmandu, Jan 20: The title winners and participants of ‘Misses Nepal International-2015’ on Tuesday distributed support to the earthquake survivors of Sindhupalchowk – one of the quake worst-affected districts of Nepal.
The most essential goods were provided to the Gorkha earthquake victims – who have been surviving their lives under temporary shelters in marming-5 of Sindhupalchowk. With the temperature level going down of late, the earthquake survivors have been reeling under further painful and pathetic condition.
A team comprising title winners and contestants including Usha Limbu, Bijeta Shrestha, Smita Pandey, Pratima KC, Sarita Bhuju Shrestha, Sarala Shrestha, Meera Manandhar and Parikalpana Rai provided relief materials with foodstuffs and bed sets to 80 Dalit families of the district.
The group reached out to the temporary shelters of the earthquake survivors. It was an exemplary philanthropic work by the title winners and participants of the beauty pageant contest, said Nishu Jha, Chairperson of Ribbon Entertainment, the organizer of the Misses Nepal International-2015.
