Chiefs of WCSC convene in national-level seminar
Kathmandu, Jan 21: The Heads of Nepal Police-run Women, Children Service Centre (WCSC) have convened in Kathmandu for a national-level workshop that kicked off from Thursday at the Police Headquarters, Naxal.
The seminar is organized by the Women and Children Service Directorate of the Nepal Police’s Crime Investigation in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
A total of 110 police officers heading the WCSC in their respective district offices across the country are participating in the event.
On the occasion, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Upendra Kanta Aryal underscored the need for the police to work sensitively in reducing the various forms of violence against women and children.
The WCSC provides women and children easily available, fair and specialized services.
