The information was shared at a meeting attended by the representatives of Press Council Nepal, Federation of Nepali Journalists, Department of Information, Central Child Welfare Committee and other stakeholders in the capital on Thursday.
The Directive has stressed on the sensitivities to be considered while disseminating news on child related affairs in course of journalism practices.
In course of framing the directive, the stakeholders were consulted in five districts including Birgunj, Dang and Palpa.
It was shared that the preparation was on to bring the Directive – an outcome document of broader consultations with stakeholders – into effect from January 28.
