4.6-magnitude aftershock jolts again



Kathmandu, Jan 22: An aftershock measuring 4.6 on Richter scale ripped through with the epicenter nearby Salme located in the bordering area of Dhading and Nuwakot districts this morning.

The National Seismological Centre (NSC) has confirmed that the aftershock occurred at 1.07am Friday. The Kathmandu denizens also felt the jolts of aftershock. The details of loss have yet to be ascertained.
The aftershocks are still continuous following the powerful earthquake with its epicenter of Barpak, Gorkha rocked the country on April 25 last year.
The number of aftershocks is so far counted 427 measuring above 4.0 in Richter scale, according to the NSC.
