Poudel says he won’t back out from party presidency race
Surunga ( Jhapa), Jan 22: Nepali Congress Vice President Ramchandra Poudel has said he would not move back from his decision to run for the party presidency.
Addressing the party cadres’ gathering Friday at Surunga of Jhapa on Friday, leader Poudel said he is fighting for the party new president is for ‘leading’ the party through a new vision. On a different note, he said the largest and second largest parties staying in opposition instead of forming a coalition government was the democratic practice.
NC is holding its 13th General Convention in March and the candidacy for the post of new party president has been the hot agenda of the party with incumbent Party President Sushil Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Poudel himself have appeared as the most probable candidates for the new president.
