Quake-survivors of Shankharapur provided financial aid



Kathmandu, Jan 23: The Hem-Sarita Pathak Foundation has distributed financial aid to the 17 quake-survivors households at Ghumarchowk in Shankharapur Municipality-12 in Kathmandu amid a programme on Saturday.

CPN (UML) leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on the behalf of the Foundation provided Rs 100,000 per household.

The cash is for the quake-victims to involve themselves in some income generating occupations as animal husbandry, vegetable farming and the like.

The Foundation also supported financially for the reconstruction of the Ugratara Secondary School which sustained damages during the April 25 earthquake.

Chairperson of the Foundation, Hem Pathak said that the Foundation has aimed to develop this Tamang settlement as a model one.
