Monetary support pouring in for Tamang family
Panchthar, Jan 24: Monetary support to Tamang family at Imbung-7 in the district is pouring in, following a news report carried by Rastriya Samachar Samiti about four members of the 10-member family living with disabilities.
The support has come as a boon for the impoverished family as they were struggling to manage two squares meals a day with the breadwinners living with disabilities, said Khadga Bahadur Tamang, one of the differently able member of the family.
A local trader and social worker Khagendra Aryal provided one quintal of rice, a quilt and five jackets to the family, while another local resident Aindra Tumbapo gave 50 kilograms rice.
Likewise, a permanent resident of Gaidakot in Nawalparasi Madhav Regmi, currently living in the United Kingdom, handed out Rs 5,000.
Dil Maya Tamang, another disabled of the family, said that the problem worsened after her father Harka Bir, the main breadwinner, suffered mental retardation upon seeing his children rendered disabled.
