Civil Service Act must be followed: Minister Sharma
Bhaktapur, Jan 24: Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma has said that action would be taken against those who do not follow the provisions of Civil Service Act.
At a news conference organized by Rafat Sanchar Club, Bhaktapur, today she added that the system of deputation was made in the interest of the civil servants but they were themselves found flouting its essence.
Minister Sharma added that civil servants act allows five officials associated with union to be free from the work but it was not a good practice.
Officials involved in the unions were found indulging in politics and such practices should be corrected after holding authorized trade union’s election, Minister added. She made it clear that her Ministry would rather work less but not bad.
She further pledged to follow the good deeds of previous general administration Minister and review other activities.
