Baitadi, Jan 26: The folks in most of the villages in Baitadi district are hit hard for receiving the government services as the VDC offices destroyed during the decade-long insurgency were not reconstructed so far.
Many VDC secretaries are delivering the services from the rented houses for lack of their own offices while many other VDC office buildings are in a sorry state.
Kuver Bahadur Chand, the secretary of Salena VDC in the district, said that the VDC officials were facing hardships to provide services to the locals from its own office building as it was in a dilapidated condition.
He added that there is no condition to work by remaining in the room adding that the roof of the building could collapse at any time.
