Talks soon with underground armed outfits: Minister Dhakal



Kathmandu, Jan 26: Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Eknath Dhakal has said that the government has made preparations to hold talks with underground armed groups.

He said talks team would be formed from the upcoming meeting of the Council of Ministers, adding that the complete peace should be established to lead the nation on the way to prosperity after maintaining peace and harmony.

“Therefore the genuine demands would be fulfilled and other unnecessary demands would be rejected and clearly opposed during talks,” he explained.

Minister Dhakal added that the homework was going on the modality of the talks and assigning the expert for mediation.

He informed that different eight foreign agencies were supporting to reconstruct the damaged infrastructures during the decade-long Maoist insurgency.

Similarly, the Ministry was forwarding different programmes to build the damaged infrastructures and to alleviate the pain of insurgency.
