Livestock service centres lack technicians
Jajarkot, Jan 29: Two livestock service centres located in the remote areas in Jajarkot district have been forced to close for lack of needed officials.
The livestock service centres located in Kotang and Garkhakot have failed to deliver services to the folks from the beginning of the current fiscal year after the technicians deputed in the centres were transferred.
Livestock Development Officer Kapil Prasad Upadhyay said that service delivery was affected as the vacant posts in both the offices were not fulfilled.
Ram Bahadur Singh, a local resident in Garkhakot, said that the farmers have to return empty-handed from the livestock centre due to absence of the technicians.
However, the District Livestock Office has been delivering services to the locals occasionally by sending officials from other livestock offices once in a blue moon.
