Preparation underway to resume traffic along Narayangadh-Muglin road



Chitwan, Jan 29: The task of removing landslide debris deposited on the highway at Kalikhola along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section on Thursday late evening was underway from this morning.

Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, said that two trucks with registration number Na 2 Kha 5602 and HR 55 K 2329 which were buried in the landslide, have been extracted from the landslide debris.No human casualty was reported in the incident. Landslide removing task was underway after deploying three dozers, added Kunwar. The highway would be opened for traffic from this afternoon.

The traffic along the road section was halted after the upper part of the wall, cut vertically in course of widening the road, collapsed at 9:00 pm. Hundreds of vehicles are in queue on both sides of the highway following the traffic halt.
