Case of corruption filed against suspended APF IGP Onta



Kathmandu, Feb 1: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet at the Special Court on Monday against 11 individuals including then IGP of Armed Police Force Kosh Raj Onta on the charge of corruption.

In the goods transportation scam, Onta has been charged of submitting fake bills to embezzle an amount worth Rs. 66.9 million. Likewise, APF police inspector Bin Bahadur Thapa has also been found to have embezzled amount worth Rs. 67.9 million, according to CIAA spokesperson Krishna Hari Puskar.

Others named in the charge sheet are Ujjwal Kumar Thapaliya of Sadajyoti Transport, Bharat Kumar Thapa of Aditi Transport, DIG of APF Arbinda Dhital, Sub-inspector Devendra Kumar Shrestha, Nil Bahadur Shrestha and Lek Bahadur Khatri, constable Milan Adhikari, former SP Jagat Narayan Shrestha and DSP Ananda Thapa. Action has been sought against them as per the Corruption Prevention Act, 2059 BS.

Investigation by the CIAA has revealed that Mr Onta colluded with Sada Jyoti and Aditi transport to submit fake bills of goods being dispatched to various APF units.
