No compromise against national interest: DPM Mainali

Ilam, Feb 2: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, CP Mainali, has said that the government would not compromise with anyone against nationality.

Talking to the National News Agency (RSS) at Ilam this morning on his way to attend a programme at Phidim in Panchthar district, DPM Mainali expressed the view that the border blockade was not lifted as the incumbent government did not give in to the wish of another country.

He said, “The incumbent government will not make any compromise against the national welfare. But the Nepali people are ready to face the border blockade.”

The DPM argued that the border blockade would not prolong as Indian people themselves have started protesting the border blockade.

He said a decision in favour of the nation would be drawn at consensus of all soon since discussion among political parties was underway regarding resolving the dispute over the delineation and naming of federal provinces.

Meanwhile, DPM Mainali also held discussion with Chief District Officer, Bishnu Kumar Karki, over fuel crisis.

Karki familiarized DPM Mainali that they have been providing fuel to under-construction hydel projects and transport vehicles.
