KC donates a whopper in Mahayagya
Tulasipur, Feb 6: A local of Tulasipur has donated a whopping Rs 66,666 in the ongoing Srimad Bhagavat Mahapuran Gyan Mahayagya held for drawing proceeds for building a high-end multipurpose assembly hall in the area.
Yam Kumar KC of Tikrapatu in Tulasipur-4 donated the highest amount yet in the ongoing Mahayagya, which is a form of religious ritual that sees religious scriptures and stories being recited to the people.
The Main Organizing Committee, in recognition of her contribution, honoured her by taking her around the site where the fair is taking place with accompaniment of musical instruments on Friday. The organizers have said they have collected Rs 3.5 million as of Friday.
Likewise, Tulasipur’s businessman Judha Bahadur KC and his spouse Khima KC donated Rs 311,555. Another resident of Tulasipur, Tika Ram Kandel and his spouse Ruma Kandel donated Rs 105,005, said Finance Committee Coordinator Uttam Kumar Shrestha.
The Tulasipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to draw around Rs 50 million for construction of the building. The Mahayagya will be held until February 10.
