Construction of road linking Muhan Pokhari and Khawa kicks off
Bhaktapur, Feb 6: Construction work for a 10 kilometre road linking Muhan Pokhari of Nagarkot Municipality in Bhaktapur and Khawa are of Kavre has kicked off.
The Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Area-based Development Programme in coordination with the District Development Committee and District Technical Office launched the construction of the new road.
The road starting from Muhan Pokhari will link up with Khawa via Bageshwori, Sudal, Tathali and Nalachap, said Local Development Officer, Pashupati Babu Puri.
An agreement has been reached with the contractor company to construct the road at an investment of Rs 130.3 million.
With the completion of the road, commuters will avail of an easy and direct access to Bhaktapur from Khawa, and also facilitate transport of products to the market, said a local facilitator, Yadav Adhikari.
