Nine dead in microbus accident identified



Trishuli (Nuwakot), Feb 7: Nine persons who were killed after a Trishuli bound micro bus (Ba.1 Ja.7583) from the capital city met with an accident at Keurini of Madanpur-8 in Nuwakot district along the Pasang Lhyamu Highway Saturday afternoon have been identified.

Of the dead, seven were Nepal Army Personnel while three were commoners and a driver.They have identified as driver Damodar Kandel, 22, of Belkot VDC-2, passenger Singh Bahadur Tamang of Deurali-8 and Nepal Army trainees Ramita Budhathoki of Singhdevi-8 Okhaldhunga, Santoshi Bogati of Raniban Okhaldhunga, Laxmi Shrestha of Manthali, Ramechhap, Manju Mishra of Bildabu Okhaldhunga, Ishwor Karki, Muna Khatri, Kedar Adhikari of army Training Centre, Trishuli.

Eight persons died on the spot while one breathed his last while receiving treatment at the Trauma Centre in Kathmandu.

Five injured were airlifted to the capital city for treatment. A total of 23 people were on board the vehicle when it veered off the road on Saturday.
