NPA demands permission to print school textbooks



Kathmandu, Feb 7: Nepal Printers’ Association (NPA) has demanded permission to private press to print textbooks of community schools.

Organising a news conference here today, the Association demanded that the government authorize the private press to print the books through the Curriculum Development Centre, arguing that only Janak Education Materials Limited Centre could not print all the textbooks on time.Association Chairman Madhav KC said responsibility should be given to the private press to print the textbooks up to Grade 8. He also said the permission to private press should not be limited to only printing and distributing the textbooks of Grade 1 to 5.
