One dead, eight injured in road mishap
Ratnanagar (Chitwan), Feb 8: A person died and eight others were injured in a road accident that occurred at 3:00 this morning at Khairahani in eastern Chitwan.
The incident took place after the Birgunj bound bus (Na 5 Kha 6319) from the capital city collided with a truck (Ba 3 Kha 1757) that had turned turtle in the area.
Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police Jitendra Chaudhary of Area Police Office, Khairahani, said that Sunil Bastakoti, who was collecting the goods that had fallen out from the ill-fated truck, died after the bus hit him. Eight persons including helper of truck Shivaram Khatri were injured.
Police said that the injured are receiving treatment in Chitwan Medical College and Bharatpur Medical College, Chitwan.
