Law minister Kharel stresses on prioritising development works



Damak (Jhapa), Feb 23: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Agni Kharel on Tuesday said that it was now need of the hour to raise the issue of development as the country has already gone through one level of political issues.

He said that the country should prioritise issues of local level, instead of concentrating only on political issues.Laying the foundation stone of a bridge over Bhutlung river at Topgachhi in Jhapa, he said that now development of local areas should be prioritised.

The Minister also stressed on the need to move ahead with development works hand-in-hand with people, the government and concerned stakeholders.

“The incumbent government is committed to carrying out development, along with the implementation of the new constitution,” he said.

Khanal Prabin Construction Service JV has been awarded the contract to build the 20-meter bridge within 18 months of the commencement of the construction. Around Rs 22. 8 million is estimated to cost for the project.
