Unsafe delivery kills woman after child birth
Ilam, Feb 26: A woman here has died of excessive bleeding after giving birth at her home. Kabita Khatri,22, a resident of Chulachuli-2 died on Wednesday night, according to police.
She died on the way to the hospital, police inspector at the District Police Office in Ilam Rudra Chudal said. Kabita’s husband is out of the country for foreign employment and she is suspected to have become pregnant out of an illicit relationship. Further investigation into the incident is underway, added Chudal.
The newborn is in a normal condition, the family said.
