Declaration of Federation of ex-Army and Police made public



Pokhara, March 2: The first gathering of the Federation of Ex-Army and Police came up with the Pokhara Declaration on Tuesday.

The Declaration signed by Federation’s Coordinator Khem Jung Gurung demanded guarantee of group representation of former and on-service army and police of Nepal in all the state organs, agencies and high-level policy formulation bodies.
The umbrella organization of ex army and police stressed the need of redrafting of the constitution while expressing concern that the state has deprived the Gorkha Army serving in military service in friendly nations of political, cultural, social, linguistic and religious rights.
The Federation though its Declaration demanded that the duty and rights of all commissions related to indigenous nationalities, Madhesi and Tharu be specified in the constitution.
