Preparations for this year’s SLC Exam over: examination controller
Bhaktapur, March 4: Preparations for upcoming School Leaving Certificate examinations are over, said the office of the Controller of the Examination (OCE), Sanothimi in Bhaktapur.
This year’s SLC test starts on March 31.
As part of the preparations, printing of question papers has been completed, said examinations controller Krishna Prasad Kapri.
Likewise, necessary materials like answer sheets of papers have been sent to all respective districts, he said, adding that the question papers have also been sent to most respective districts.
He said that preparations were on to send question papers to 10 districts including Dolakha and Sindhupalchok.
Meanwhile, OCE deputy controller Anupam Chandra Shrestha said that the total 615,000 students are sitting for the exams this year.
Of them, 452,881 are from regular category, while 159,417 are from exempted category. And the rest belongs to technical category. Under the regular category, 2, 25,346 are male and 2, 27,535 female.
Of the total candidates, Kathmandu has the highest number of 35,000 and only lowest number 69 candidates appearing for the test are from Manang, Shrestha said.
A total of 1,443 examination centres have been fixed across the country for this year’s SLC test.
