Need of new revolution in education: Minister Pokharel



Bardibas, March 14: Minister for Education, Girirajmani Pokharel, has said that there was a need of a new revolution in education for the successful implementation of the new constitution.

Minister Pokharel said this while inaugurating a two-day seminar organised by the Non-Formal Education Centre Sanothimi, Bhaktapur at Bardibas in Mahottari today.He also pointed out that there are challenges in successful implementation of the new constitution and speedy development of the country for lack of education.

The Education Minister also directed all bodies concerned to carry out works in a planned manner to face the challenges.

President of the Women, Children and Social Welfare Committee under the Legislature-Parliament, Ranju Jha, Directors at the Education Ministry and Non-Formal Education Centre, Examination Controller of the Office of the Controller of the Examination and District Education Officers of 19 districts of Central Development Region are participating in the seminar.

Director at the Non-Formal Education Centre, Diwakar Dhungel, said that suggestions would be collected for the formulation of policy for the effectiveness of the non-formal education and participation on it in the seminar.
