Effectively implementation of free visa and free ticket system demanded



Kathmandu, April 4: Different organisations have staged sit-in today demanding effective implementation of free visa and free ticket system implemented in six gulf countries and Malaysia.

The organisation staged sit-in in front of Singha Durbar area at the initiation of National Network for Safe Migration with the banner reading ‘Free visa and free ticket system be effectively implemented.”

They staged the sit-in to exert pressure on the government not to reverse its decision to provide free visa and free ticket system, saying it was in favour of workers.

Network Chairman Siddhichandra Baral said that they have decided to stage sit-in for an hour at different places of Kathmandu valley from 9:00 am for a week under the pressure-oriented programme.

The government has made a provision that manpower agencies could only charge Rs 10,000 if the destination countries do not provide amount as service charge. The government has enforced free visa and free ticket system in Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Malaysia. RSS
