Constitutional Council meeting ended inconclusively



Kathmandu, April 8: Today’s meeting of the Constitutional Council held to discuss regarding selection of next chief justice ended inconclusively. The meeting was held at official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar.

The meeting ended inconclusively after newly elected Parliamentary Party leader of the Nepali Congress remained absent due to election of work execution committee of the NC Parliamentary Party.

On the occasion, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Agni Kharel, informed that the next meeting has been scheduled on April 10.

Incumbent Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha is getting retirement from April 13 due to age bar.
Meanwhile, a cabinet meeting is taking place at Baluwatar. RSS
