PM Oli’s address was nonsense: Chairman Mahato



Kathmandu, April 13: Chairman of the Sadbhawana Party  Mr. Rajendra Mahato has warned that the Madhesi Morcha will launch the Singhadurbar centric protest from April 18.

Chairman Mahato, however, clarified that the Morcha has no plan on holding another border blockade conceding to the fact that the border obstruction affected the daily lives of general people adversely.

Speaking at the program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on today, Chairman Mahato said, “The government did not pay any heed to soft protest. The government did not utilise this time when there is no banda, strike or blockade that’s why the protests will be intensified.”

Chairman Mahato has further said that the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha’s  protest will be focused on putting pressure on the government and Singha Durbar. He said, ” We do not want to make a disturbances in the daily lives of the peoples, Our main target is to give a strong pressure to the government, speaking at the program presided by the Club’s President Rishi Dhamala.

In a different note, Mahato blamed to the government as it offered neglect to people in the name of adress to the nation. “Prime Minister Oli’s address was nonsense, it was meaningless,” he said, adding,”Neither it will give money to people as relief nor will it address demands of the agitators(our demands).”

Accusing PM Oli of staging a drama to foil the agitation by invitating Madhes-centric parties for dialogues, he said there was no any alternative to agitation. “Agitation is our compulsion,” he said.  The appeal made by the government for the agitating Madhes-based parties for talks was just a drama.”

Club’s President Rishi Dhamala has urged to the all political parties to hold the consensus. Dhamala said,” Now we are celebrating New Year, Along with New Year, the top political leaders should show their unity, cooperation and consensus among them.”
