Parliamentary session will be summoned soon: Speaker Gharti Magar



Kathmandu, April 24: House Speaker, Onsari Gharti Magar, today said the parliamentary session will be summoned as soon as possible in view of the constitution set deadline for issuing budget before May 28.

Speaking to the media persons at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon arrival following a visit to the UK to mark the bicentenary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and the Great Britain, the House She assured of concluding the overdue task of parliamentary regulations.

She left for the UK on May 16 heading a seven-member parliamentary delegation on an official invitation from the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

The delegation took stock of the UK’s parliamentary system, procedures and structures while also visiting the northern provinces of Ireland.

The entourage included Nepali Congress Chief Whip Chinkaji Shrestha, CPN (UML) Chief Whip Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, UCPN (Maoist) Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Dilnath Giri along with Parliamentary Secretariat General Secretary Manohar Prasad Bhattarai and Secretary Mukunda Prasad Sharma.
