50 houses for Chepang and Gandharva to be constructed

Damauli, April 26: Some 50 houses will be constructed for nomadic Chepang and Gandharva community people under the People Residence Programme of the Nepal government.

The programme is to construct 46 houses of Chepang and four of the Gandharva. Chief of Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Gorkha, Shyam Kishor Singh shared that 50 houses of Chepang and Gandharva people will be constructed this year.
The houses for the nomadic people will be constructed in Bhanu municipality, Bandipur municipality, Anbukhaireni municipality, Byas municipality, Tanahunsur, Keshabtar, Barbhanjuang, Chowk Chisapani and Devghat VDCs.
Total 195,000 including Rs 183,000 for house construction and Rs 12,000 will be provided to each household, said Division Chief Singh.
