Panchthar, April 29: Minister for Agriculture Development, Haribol Gajurel, today said Nepal’s agricultural sector will embark on a new direction.
Minister Gajurel said the Ministry has prepared a list of programmes along with necessary budget for resolving the farmers’ problems, and for modernization and commercialization of the country’s agricultural sector.
Speaking to the National News Agency (RSS) this morning at Phidim of Panchthar, Minister Gajurel stressed on adopting productive and commercial agriculture by getting rid of the traditional way.
He also spoke of preparations to introduce youth-friendly programmes for attracting youths towards commercial agriculture, hence discouraging them from heading abroad for migrant work.
On a different note, the Minister ruled out any possibility of the formation of a national consensual government citing that the main opposition – Nepali Congress – did not want to join the present government. RSS
