Journalists’ jamboree in Chitwan; President to inaugurate assembly



Ratnanagar (Chitwan), May 3: Journalists from across the country have gathered at Ratnanagar of Chitwan to participate in the central general assembly of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).

The journalists have been brought together in Chitwan to hold discussions on the FNJ proposal on statute amendment in a way to make it provincial structure friendly. The two-day general assembly of the FNJ is set to take place at Star Banquet in Ratnanagar of Chitwan. The discussion will start today and conclude on Wednesday.

This is the fourth time that the FNJ Statute-2060 BS is subjected to amendment. Total 1,651 journalists are participating in the general meeting, shared FNJ Chair Mahendra Bista. All preparation for the general meeting is over, said local management committee coordinator, Hari Prasad Pokharel.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to inaugurate the general assembly at 11.00 this morning, said Bista. RSS
