Minister Rai says option of new coalition not conducive for national consensus



Dolakha, May 11: Minister for Information and Communications, Sherdhan Rai, has said that environment for national consensus and unity could not be created while making attempts to form a new coalition searching an option to the present government.

Speaking at a programme organised to release a photo collection titled ‘Earthquake and Dolakha’ at Charikot in Dolakha district today, Minister Rai urged the Nepali Congress and Madhesi Morcha to stand by national consensus and unity for the progressive change in the country.He further said that national consensus and unity was not possible by keeping any political parties aside. The Communications Minister also urged the NC to see the 16-point agreement once again.

Also the Spokesperson of the government, Rai asked, those who are saying that the local bodies’ election could not be held, to read the articles of the new constitution.

He said that the local bodies’ election would be held at any cost even if consensus was not forged among all political parties in this regard.
