CPN-MC decides to take initiative for consensus government



Kathmandu, July 27: The CPN-Maoist Centre has decided to take the initiative to form a national consensus government under the leadership of its Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

A meeting of the party held at central office Parisdanda in the capital on Wednesday took the decision to initiate dialogue with the political parties to form a national consensus government under Chairperson Dahal’s leadership, shared CPN-MC Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal.

Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and properties in rain-triggered floods and landslides across the country, the meeting also drew the government’s attention to intensify relief and rescue works effectively. The meeting directed its cadres to actively work in the distribution of relief and rescue to the flood and landslide affected people.

Likewise, the meeting expressed grief over the demise of CPN-MC general convention organizing committee member Hari Bahadur KC and his family members in the landslide that occurred at Phopli VDC of Pyuthan district. The meeting will continue from 8.00 am tomorrow morning. RSS
