Tourism and Trade Fair to take place in Bhairawa from Feb 7 to 18

LUMBINI, Jan 17: The First National Tourism Promotion Agricultural and Industrial Trade Fair is kicking off at Belhia Marga near Danda river in Bhairawa from February 7 to 18.

The Fair, which will aim to promote and boost domestic tourism, is organized by The Siddhartha Hotel Association Nepal. The Fair holds the banner ‘Promote Internal Tourism, Make Visit Year 2017 a Success’

The event is co-organized by Rupandehi Cricket Association. The Fair is believed to bring into relief the agricultural, industrial, tourism, and information and technology related items, gadgets, schemes, policies and programmes focusing on internal and external tourists, Rupandehi SAN Chairman, Chandra Prasad Shrestha said.

The organizers expect to tend to around 100,000 visitors and hope for successful transaction of over Rs 30 million.

A total of 265 stalls will be set up at the event venue. The Fair will present agricultural tools, handicraft items, leather, shoes, foods, automobiles, banking and financial institutes (BFIs), information technology, hotels, restaurants, electronic gadgets and industries.

The visitors will also be offered boating in the river alongside exhibition of different species of birds including the Himalayan Monal and Ostrich. A replica of the Mayadevi Temple of Lumbini will also be built at the site.

Proceeds from the fair will be spent for the under-construction Siddhartha stadium, Rupandehi Cricket Association Chair, Prashant Bikram Malla confided. RSS
