Ram Chandra Poudel stresses on local body election

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Senior leader of ruling party Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Poudel has stressed on the need of local body election rather than local level election during a meeting called by the  Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’,

Sources reports that, Poudel had made such remarks after being encouraged by Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal chairman and coordinator of federal alliance Upendra Yadav.

After the meeting, Poudel, speaking with senior journalist Rishi Dhamala, said, “I have been saying from the beginning that if no agreement is reached on the subject of local level election, local body election has to be held. Yesterday, Upendra Yadav repeated the same thing. All the political parties must get serious to give positive outlet to nation.”
