Three election commissioners recommended

KATHMANDU, Jan 27: The meeting of the Constitutional Council today recommended the names for appointment as election commissioners to the three posts lying vacant in the commission.

Those recommended to the posts are Narendra Dahal, Ishwari Prasad Poudel and Sudhir Kumar Sah, said deputy speaker Ganga Prasad Yadav.

Currently the Election Commission has two commissioners including the chief commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav and Commissioner Ila Sharma. There are five commissioner posts including the Chief Commisisoner.

Present in the meeting were, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chief Justice Sushila Karki, Speaker Onsari Gharti, main opposition party leader KP Sharma Oli, deputy speaker Yadav and chief secretary Dr Som Lal Subedi.RSS
