Govt to issue postal stamp with voters’ picture

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: The government is to issue a postal stamp featuring voters in line on the polling center on the occasion of the Democracy Day and Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Election Commission.

Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki shall affix the cancellation mark on the postal stamp to be unveiled on the Democracy Day.

Likewise, Joint Secretary at the Ministry Ram Chandra Dhakal said that the publicity sub-committee formed under the coordination of the Ministry of Information and Communications has also decided to mark the 67th Democracy Day in a grand manner.

A meeting of the publicity sub-committee held under the convenorship of Minister Karki decided to mark the Democracy Day with high priority.

On the occasion of the Democracy Day, the National News Agency (RSS) is given the responsibility to disseminate different contents, features, articles and photos related to the Democracy Day. RSS
