UML flexible on constitution amendment bill expect on demarcation issues: Bansidhar Mishra

KATHMANDU,April 2: Leader of main opposition CPN-UML Bansidhar Mishra has said that UML will be flexible in endorsing the constitution amendment bill only if issues of province demarcation is dropped.

Speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Sunday, he said, “Government has decided to sort out demarcation issues after the local level election. UML will flexible in the amendment process.”

Mishra added, “Country is already headed toward the direction of election. Stopping election will be a disaster to country. Every political party must be aware about this.”

“We are positive about government’s efforts to forge consensus with Madhes-based parties.”

Leader Mishra also suggested government not to endorse constitution amendment bill before giving serious thought on the issues as it could be regrettable in future.
